Act I

Alice and her classmates are bored at school. Alice sees a strange white rabbit, and, curious, follows it down the rabbit hole.

1. Classroom

2. White Rabbit

Alice falls down the rabbit hole and lands in an endless hall of doors of all sizes. The white rabbit goes through a small door, through which she can glimpse a beautiful garden, but she is too big to follow. She tries multiple doors, which stretch and shrink before she can enter. Frustrated, she begins to cry.

Alice cries so much that her tears become a large pool, and she and several animals are washed away. To dry off, the Dodo Bird and the Little Mouse propose a Caucus Race.

Alice chases the rabbit again, and meets Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. The Tweedles tell her the story of a Walrus and Carpenter, who invite little oysters to their house for dinner. (To be eaten!)

Alice finally makes it to the beautiful flower garden. After waltzing with the flowers, she comes across a small bed of mushrooms and the Caterpillar that lives there.

Alice spots the rabbit and follows it to an odd tea party hosted by the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse. They have so much fun that even the dishes come to life!

Act II

Alice is lost in the woods of Wonderland. She asks the Cheshire Cat for directions, but the cat is questionably helpful.

The Queen's gardens are full of roses. Gardeners busily paint the white roses red.

A parade of cards arrive, leading the Queen of Hearts to her gardens. Upon discovering the gardeners' deception, she orders their execution. She invites Alice to an odd croquet match, in which hedgehogs are the balls, flamingos are the mallets, and cards are the hoops. The Queen wins the game with some measure of dishonesty.

Alice meets the Gryphon at the croquet match, who introduces her to its friend the Mock Turtle. Both creatures recount long tales of their childhoods, including their favorite dance, "The Lobster Quadrille."

The Knave of Hearts has been accused of stealing the Queen of Heart's cherry tarts, and all of Wonderland has been summoned to serve as jury or witness. Alice is called to give testimony, so she recounts her journey through Wonderland. After she is blamed for the missing tarts, the Knave confesses, and everybody scatters in the wake of the Queen's rage. Alice is chased all the way back through Wonderland.
